Financial stewardship is a spiritual practice, and making a pledge to St. Paul’s Elkins Park is a way to express your gratitude to God and to support the ministry and community of our church. Stewardship includes annual pledging, making holiday and special gifts, and sharing time, energy, and talent in support of the church. St. Paul’s uses these resources to support our worship, music ministry, and our service in the larger world.
The primary means of stewardship is annual giving. This is a commitment, renewed each fall, to return a portion of what we have been given to further God’s work in the world. The Vestry and the Finance Committee base St. Paul’s yearly budget on pledged annual giving.
Annual gifts are tax deductible, and you will receive a final statement in January detailing your giving the prior year for reference when filing your income tax return.
Endowment & Memorials
We invite you to remember St. Paul’s Elkins Park in your estate planning. Legacy gifts provide an ongoing benefit to the life and ministry of our church, and help us to plan responsibly for our future.
Gifts can also be used to secure specific ongoing support for a particular ministry or program to honor or memorialize a person, project, or community of personal significance to you. Such gifts could include guaranteeing the funding of a staff position, providing long-term maintenance for our buildings and grounds, and supporting music ministry.
If you would like information about how to make a memorial gift or an endowment, please contact our Finance Committee using this form.
