The cemetery at Saint Paul’s was laid out in 1879 and enlarged in 1905. Many prominent families from Philadelphia’s Gilded Age had family plots at Saint Paul’s, which became the final resting place for several historical figures, including civil war financier Jay Cooke, civil war officer Arlo Pardee Jr., brokerage founder Charles D. Barney, and banker J. Horace Harding.
Many of the individual memorials at our churchyard are listed in the Find a Grave online database. Due to the high cost of maintaining a historic cemetery, donations are greatly appreciated.
